Waiver
Volunteer Obligations and Waiver of Liability
The Art Dash Party depends on the volunteers to perform critical duties in contributing to the success of the event. Our volunteers will enjoy free admission to The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival with their volunteer wristband. This opportunity to browse and shop is for the arts festival hours before and/or after the volunteer's working shift. With the exception of organizations that have been pre-approved to wear their own organization t-shirts, all volunteers receive a commemorative t-shirt. In exchange, we expect our volunteers to display warm and welcoming courtesy to patrons and artists, to perform their duties with commitment to the overall success of the arts festival, and to represent the community in a positive light. We expect our volunteers to be on time for their assignments; communicate any issues, concerns, delays, etc. to the Volunteer Coordinator or Event Coordinator; remain at their posts at all times unless or until a relief volunteer is available; and to complete their assignment by remaining at their post until relieved. Relief volunteers will be available to accommodate breaks and any unforeseen emergencies. Our volunteers make the event a success, and WE THANK YOU for your dedicated participation in this outstanding community event.
Waiver
I do hereby represent that:
1. I am 18 years of age or older.
2. I recognize and appreciate any dangers and risks inherent in volunteering for the Art Dash Party events.
3. I am submitting this release and waiver of liability declaration voluntarily and of my own free will.
4. I have no physical or emotional problems, nor any history thereof, which will impair my ability to volunteer for the Art Dash Party.
5. I hold harmless and agree to indemnify The Woodlands Arts Council, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, staff, sponsors, volunteers, and their respective insurance carriers from all claims, liability, and damages I may sustain from any bodily injury, personal injury or property damage or death which may occur from any cause, including negligence, before, during or after the Art Dash Party and The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival in which I participate as a volunteer.
6. I hereby authorize and give my full consent to The Woodlands Arts Council, Inc. and its agents, the exclusive right to use my name, likeness, photos or reproduction for any purpose including promotion, advertising and/or other purposes.
7. I acknowledge that I have read and understand this entire Waiver of Liability and Release, and I agree to be legally bound by it.
